Diskord is an unconventional death metal band whose approach to music is both old-school and progressive at the same time. Their music is all about forging new paths, but never falls into the trap of being technical for just for the sake of it. Their musical reference points are as diverse as old Autopsy, Gorguts, early Cadaver and Voivod.
The band’s most recent release, “Dystopics”, was released in 2012 to critical acclaim. Their live set-up is a little unorthodox; a trio with a drummer as the lead singer. They are often joined by guest musicians, playing instruments that are atypical of the genre such as accordion and didgeridoo. Their next album is expected in 2014.
