“A convincing show at Slottsfjell leaves no doubt at all, the Autumn’s first Urørt band of the week has got to be Shy for Shore.” – NRK P3 Urørt
Shy for Shore is a dream pop / synth pop duo from Oslo and London, based in Amsterdam.
“We love most 80s bands, because we love the aesthetic, the synths and the plastic sounds. We’re inspired by artists like Depeche Mode, Madonna, Chairlift, Twin Shadow, College, Beach House and Purity Ring. It’s fantastic for us to be the first band to be named Ukas Urørt (Norwegian equivalent to BBC Introducing) after the Summer break and our show at Slottsfjell (our first in Norway in fact). We’ve played a lot in London, where we originally started, as well as a festival in Amsterdam last Spring. After we released our last EP, Amazing Radio picked up on us in the UK where we did a little interview and were also names New Band of the Week.”
The band released their latest single and EP “Teenage Pains” in mid November on the Brilliance label.
“Their intoxicating brand of dreamy synth pop is surely going to attract attention for the young duo.” – Crack In The Road

“A shivery piece of 1980s electro pop, think the Drive soundtrack with a few more dance floor aspirations, and you’ll have Shy For Shore’s sound nailed.” – Under The Radar,
