Angelica’s Elegy play beautiful pop songs delivered with an experimental, melodic yet lo-fi bent. Atmospheric pieces are filled with playful basslines, angelic harmonies, noisy synths, gentle piano chords and exigent percussion. A sound redolent of old cassette players, warm valve amps and customised retro keys.
The band are influenced 80s and 90s indie rock, with the odd bit of postrocky atmospherics and soul-funk orchestration thrown in to the mix. Pair that with a heartfelt appreciation for 60s aesthetics and inquisitiveness and the result is something quite appetising that is entirely unlike anything else in Norway just now.
