AWAY is an indie rock band comprised of five eighteen-year-old young men from Rygge, just south of Oslo in Østfold. The band bristles with energy on stage and the sound of their three electric guitars is complimented by stunning vocal harmonies. They are lead by a rather fine frontman and possess an arsenal of strong material.
Spring 2013 saw the band win not only the Slottsfjell Battle of the Bands competition, but Hove’s contest too, appearances which served to anchor a pretty decent first festival season, stopping in at Månefestivalen, Varnafestivalen and Musikkfest Oslo amongst others, receiving stellar plaudits for all.
