After a bunch of mixtapes, features and overall presence in what feels like ages, the Oslo based Tromsø rapper KLISH released his debut album “Bestandig” in June 2013 – on the small indie label Siste Steg.
The album, led by the singles “Fyring Fighting F **king”, “Seveneleven” and “Jenter med Tatoveringer” (“Girls with Tattoos”), gives us a dark introduction to dead end jobs, dissatisfaction, rebellion and mortal consumption.
Sometimes gloomy, but also with touches of playful ignorance and an extremely pleasant self-importance attached to most topics. The album sounds un-Norwegian too, moving in its own variant of the Southern landscape: heavy bass, slow tempo, and lots of chopped and screwed vocal.
KLISH has the past year played a series of concerts across Norway with RSP and Mats Dawg, he has played at Øyanatt, and has opened for Waka Flocka Flame.
Recently KLISH appeared on Tommy Tee’s “Hopp i Havet RMX”. KLISH will be releasing the new mixtape “Apokalyps Dude” in January, and the album “Bestandig” will be released on vinyl the same month.
