Atlanter play rock inspired by desert blues bands, krautrock and old delta blues. All of this is done from a distinctly Norwegian perspective, and can perhaps be described as Norwegian “viddeblues”, or “the blues of the Norwegian plains”. Atlanter have an open-minded approach to playing music. The songs change from one gig to another, and they’ve become a live favourite in their homeland.
Their debut album “Vidde” from 2013 was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy (Spellemann) in the indie category, and was voted as one of Norway’s best albums of 2013 by many Norwegian critics.
